1st Online Teachers' Meeting

We held a meeting with the partners and the students at 9 pm (cet) on 20th of February, 2022.

Demet Koçoğlu from Türkiye and Waldemar Cymes from Poland are in the meeting.

During the meeting, the teachers shared the initial conclusions from the questionnaires which show that:

- the language level of students from partner schools is A1
- knowledge about environmental protection is at the basic level, while the programming aspect is unknown by most of the students participating in the study.
- in each of the partner schools, there are single students with fewer educational opportunities in the group of students surveyed. Their lower educational opportunities result from the poverty in which their family lives or because only one of the parents caring for the student.
- the flow of information and participation in the school life of the local community is very different in each school. A school in Turkey often involves the local community in the school's life, the flow of information is much more effective than in the case of a partner school in Poland. Teachers exchanged their insights on this subject and a teacher from a school in Turkey undertook to help improve the aspects of cooperation with the local community towards the Polish school (exchange of good practices).
The first problem that caught the eye was the rarely visited school website of the Polish partner, which results, among other things, from its unreadable structure.

At the coordinators' meeting on February 20, 2022 it was agreed as follows:
- the deadline for receipt of the reports of the above-mentioned studies and other documents necessary for further work is March 15 this year.
- due to the administrative work on the TwinSpace website planned in the summer of 2022, as a result of which the appearance of this platform is to be changed, it was agreed that until then the TwinSpace of the DREAM project will be carried out in a basic manner.
- the appointment of a second teacher assisting the coordinator's work will take place in each school at a time convenient for the school coordinator
- the basic social media in the DREAM project will be facebook, WhatsApp, website and blog.
- the first activities with students will focus on getting to know the partner countries better and strengthening the relationship between students from all three schools.
For this, and for further work in international teams, the DISCORD platform is to be used, the main administrator and leader of which will be the coordinator from Poland, Waldemar Cymes. As part of the exchange of good practices,  he will conduct workshops on the DISCORD Platform for other teachers of partner schools.
- it was agreed that at the next meeting we will discuss the information collected so far on the methods and ways of teaching English that we intend to use during the two years of cooperation. A table made on Google's Forms will be used for this (do something like this)
- we will also collect information on licenses that must be purchased at the beginning of our cooperation
- we will establish the topics of the first activities
- we will present the programs and platforms that we intend to use during our two-year cooperation (Selfie +, etc.)
- we will start working on the final product of our project (e-book)
- various matters were discussed (including the possible date of transfer of the first tranche of funds)
